There is so much to say about Alaska, but the fact is - we don't know where to even begin! Many people have already heard of the beauty of this magnificent place and that is why they flock to Alaska every summer. But alas - staying above the surface they are bound to see only half of what you will see aboard the Nautilus Explorer. Anyone who has ever considered visiting Alaska should experience this at least once – it is a must-do for all cold-water divers.

Almost all traveling is done at night to maximize our time on-site during the day. Dives are planned around the slack tides which usually limits us to 3 dives per day. On certain days - i.e., when we spend the day viewing calving glaciers thundering into the water or kayaking around icebergs - there may be no diving at all. Diving and itinerary is subject to Captain Mike's discretion and he promises to do his absolute best to maximize our satisfaction. This is the perfect trip for both divers and non-diving buddies. Nautilus Explorer promises you scenery that simply defies description and intensely colorful diving. You will very likely see nudibranchs galore, giant kelp forests, humpback whales, orcas, Steller's sea lions, sea otters, bald eagles, grizzly bears, calving glaciers, spawning salmon, incredible waterfalls, natural hot-springs tucked alongside roaring rivers, and more when you are not swimming among icebergs or zodiac kayaking, doing shoreline tours, or building beach bonfires.

Our itinerary for this trip has been custom designed per our specifications and will be one of only two Alaska / BC trips the Nautilus Explorer makes in 2013. 

This unique adventure starts at $3595 / person and includes:

• 11 days / 10 nights on board double occupancy accommodations in the dorm bunks (2 spaces available at this price)
• Diving / kayaking / sightseeing every day
• aluminum 80 tanks & weights
• Marine ID presentations
• zodiac kayaking instruction
• In-water divemastering and dive guiding with local experts
• Daily room service and nightly turndown
• Towels, bathrobe
• Meals, snacks, non-alcoholic beverages including sodas.
• Nine lower deck staterooms have side by side beds, private heads with separate shower stall, central air conditioning and measure 90 sq. ft. Two larger upper deck executive suites measure 145 sq. ft with big windows, a wardrobe, desk and outside doors. The only bunk beds onboard are in the dorm.

Additional upgrades available include:

• Double stateroom accommodations - add $400 / person (7 available at this price)
• Executive suite accommodations - add $1200 / person (2 available at this price)

What is not included:

• Selections for our extensive wine list, micro brew beer (over 40 onboard at last count!), single malt scotches and other alcoholic beverages).
• Nitrox, argon, gas mixes.
• Rebreather support including zorb and specialized tank rentals.
• 100 cu. ft. steel tanks (16 lbs more negative than an aluminum 80).
• Gift shop purchases.
• Crew gratuities.
• $65 port fee
